Scar Camouflage vs. Microneedling: What’s the Difference?

Scar Camouflage vs. Microneedling: What’s the Difference?

Scar camouflage and microneedling are similar in function but are two totally separate things.

While both stimulate collagen production, scar camouflage can give the best of both worlds by not only addressing texture, but by also addressing color too.

Scar camouflage uses tattoo machines to implant serum and ink into the dermis, the second layer of the skin. Therefore, the treatment is penetrating deeper than microneedling as it only penetrates the epidermis and is more superficial on the skin.

At RevrseSkin, we often see clients who have tried microneedling and other treatments but still struggle with discoloration. In these cases, transitioning to scar camouflage leads to more finalized results.
